Hey Creator,

What if AI isn’t just helping Indian creators make content faster—but helping them build bigger businesses? Adobe’s latest India snapshot suggests that shift is already here.

Let’s dive in!

A new Adobe survey shows Indian creators already using AI aren't just experimenting anymore — they're building entire careers around it.

You've probably felt the shift yourself: AI stopped being the "extra tool" and became the thing you reach for first. Turns out, you're far from alone.

Adobe's 2026 Creators' Toolkit Report — a survey of over 16,000 creators across the US, UK, France, Germany, South Korea, Japan, India, and Australia, run with The Harris Poll in May 2026 — just landed. It's Adobe's own commissioned research (worth keeping in mind, since they sell the tools too), but the methodology is solid and the India numbers are hard to ignore.

One more scoping note before the numbers: these stats reflect creators who already use or have tried creative AI — not India's creator economy as a whole.

The core stat: 96% credit AI with growth

96% of those AI-using creators say their business or following has grown faster since they started using it. That's not a fringe benefit — that's the overwhelming majority of AI-adopting creators crediting the tech directly for growth.

A few more from the report worth sitting with:

  • 85% say creative AI has become a core, everyday part of their workflow

  • 82% expect to use it even more over the next year

  • 80% say it's made them feel more confident or professional in their craft

  • 71% say it makes them feel more secure about their future as a creator

AI speeds things up, but editing still matters

Here's the nuance that keeps this from being a pure AI-hype story:

  • 98% say creative AI helps them produce content faster

  • But 72% say AI outputs still need moderate to extensive editing before they're publish-ready

  • 55% say AI-assisted content consistently performs better

  • 52% say AI helps them produce higher-quality work, faster

Speed isn't replacing judgment — it's buying creators more room to exercise it.

Creators say their voice and final say stay human

This might be the most reassuring part of the report if you've ever worried AI would flatten your point of view:

  • 94% believe their AI-assisted work still reflects their unique voice

  • 77% say human judgment remains essential to creative taste

  • 87% say a human should always make the final call on creative work — no matter how capable AI agents get

  • 75% say AI has strengthened their ability to compete with bigger teams or studios

Among creators open to giving AI agents more autonomy, the asks are telling: 54% want to be able to check in, tweak, or reverse what the agent does mid-task, 42% want visibility into the agent's reasoning, and 34% want firm boundaries on what data and tools it can touch. Control, not blind trust.

Where AI use gets complicated: standing out and disclosure

Not everything is settled:

  • 44% of creators who feel it's harder to stand out this year point to AI-generated content flooding their space

  • Only 52% say they always or often disclose their AI use — 16% rarely or never do, even as 93% believe audience expectations around disclosure are rising or holding steady

  • 96% say it's important to be able to get copyright protection for AI-assisted work

96% of creators now use AI on mobile

Maybe the most quietly significant stat: 96% of Indian creators use AI tools on mobile, and 95% create content on their phones. Ideation, generation, editing, publishing — increasingly, it's all happening in your pocket, not on a desktop.

The takeaway

This isn't a story about AI replacing creators. It's creators using AI to work faster, compete with bigger players, and still insisting — loudly — that the final call stays human. If you needed a data-backed reason to stop feeling guilty about your AI-assisted workflow, this is it.

Talk to your AI tools the way you'd talk to a colleague.

You don't send a colleague a three-word brief. You explain the context, the constraints, what you've already tried. But typing all that into ChatGPT takes forever — so you don't.

Wispr Flow lets you speak your prompts instead. Talk through your thinking naturally and get clean, paste-ready text. No filler words. No cleanup. Just detailed prompts that actually get you useful answers on the first try.
