Hey Creator,
If you've ever regenerated an AI video five times hoping the sixth take finally listens to you, today's spotlight is worth your attention.
Google just gave creators a lot more say in how that take turns out.
Let’s look into it!
Generating a video with AI has never been the hard part. Getting it to do exactly what you pictured is where most tools still fall short.
Google's answer, released on August 27, is Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash — an update that keeps the same "anything in, anything out" model behind the original Omni Flash but rebuilds it around one idea: giving creators actual control over the output, not just a generation and a shrug.
What's actually new
Longer, more consistent scene extension — the earlier version only looked at the final second of a clip before continuing it, which made longer generations drift in look and continuity. 1.1 reads up to ten seconds of prior footage instead, and chains extensions up to 40 seconds total.
First-and-last-frame control — set the opening and closing frame of a shot, and the model builds the camera movement between them. Useful for storyboarding a scene with intent rather than hoping the AI lands somewhere close.
Video references — upload up to three seconds of your own footage as a style reference, so the model carries over a character or motion pattern instead of reinventing it each generation.
Draft-then-upscale workflow — generate cheap, fast 360p drafts to test an idea, then upscale the one that works to 1080p or full 4K.
What it costs
Pricing runs per second of output:

Omni 1.1 Flash Pricing
The draft-first pricing means the expensive tier only gets spent once you already know the shot works.
Worth knowing:
Every video the model generates carries SynthID, an invisible watermark that stays detectable even after edits or downloads.
It doesn't change how the tool feels to use, but it's worth knowing if you're relying on this for client work where disclosure or authenticity questions might come up.
Where to find it
Omni 1.1 is live now through Google AI Studio and the Gemini API for developers, with broader rollout across Google Flow and the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. Scene extension specifically is also available directly inside the Gemini app for Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers.
It's already showing up inside tools creators use day to day, too — Adobe has integrated it into Firefly, and Figma Weave and Runway are both named as launch partners.
If your workflow already touches Firefly, Runway, or Figma, this update is likely closer than it looks.

Scale your customer experience across all channels
Most teams scale customer service by hiring, but with ElevenAgents, real-time voice and chat agents handle high volumes of interactions and resolve them faster.
When routine requests come in, they get answered in the moment, in 70+ languages. However, the complex ones route to humans with full context, so your team focuses only on the conversations that need judgment. The experience holds up because the agents sound human, not robotic. And with Expressive Mode, they read tone and adapt - de-escalating, reassuring, and guiding each conversation to a clear resolution.
You can train every agent on your knowledge base, SOPs, and policies, deploy across voice, chat, and WhatsApp, then keep improving with real-time CSAT tracking, A/B testing, and Guardrails.
The outcome is the one leaders care about: higher resolution rates, higher CSAT, and support that scales with demand instead of headcount. Pricing is transparent and flat at $0.08 per minute, with no add-ons to work around.
