Hey Creator,
AI search has been quietly eating your traffic.
Today I'm sharing something Amazon just announced that every independent creator needs to know about. 👇
When was the last time you Googled something and actually clicked through to a website?
Exactly. Neither did your readers.
AI assistants now answer questions directly. No click needed. No visit required. Your carefully written post gets summarised into two sentences, the reader gets their answer, and moves on. You got zero traffic for the work you put in.
This has been happening quietly for a while now. And most independent creators — bloggers, newsletter writers, niche content sites — have had absolutely no way to fight back. Or even see it happening.
Until now.
Amazon just built something for independent creators
On June 15, 2026, Amazon announced Content Partners — a free, opt-in program designed specifically for independent bloggers, newsletter creators, and niche content sites.
Not for big media companies. Not for large publishers with legal teams. For people like you, running a content business mostly on their own.
Amazon said it plainly: independent creators are central to a healthy, diverse web — and they want to help them survive as AI changes how content gets discovered.
That's a big statement from a big company. Here's what it actually means for you.
What's in it for you?
You can finally see who's crawling your content : Right now, AI bots scrape your content without you knowing. With Content Partners, you get visibility into exactly which AI crawlers are accessing your site — and you get to decide what happens next. Block them. Allow them. Or monetise their access to your content. That control has never existed for independent creators before.
Your content gets credited when Amazon AI uses it: When Amazon's AI pulls from your content to answer a question, it cites your work and links back to you. You get attribution. You get the traffic that comes with it. Instead of being invisible, you're in the conversation.
You earn more from Amazon Associates: Already an Amazon Associates member? Content Partners adds an extra 1% commission on eligible sales. It's not life-changing on its own — but it's real money that adds up over time without any extra work from you.
You get access to better ads: Amazon Publisher Services — previously locked behind a wall that only large publishers could access — opens up to Content Partners members. Better ad quality, better ad revenue potential for your site.
You get $100/month in AWS credits: Free hosting credits plus CloudFront CDN included every month. If you're running your own website, this is a direct cost saving.
What do you give in return?
You opt in to allowing Amazon to use your content to power its AI experiences. That's the exchange.
It's voluntary — you can opt out at any time. There are no fees. No minimum traffic requirements. No complicated eligibility criteria.
That said — read the full terms carefully before signing up. Any program that involves your content is worth understanding properly before you commit.
Is this for you?
This makes the most sense if you:
Run a blog, newsletter, or niche content site
Are already an Amazon Associates member
Host your own website and have real hosting costs
Want some visibility and control over how AI uses your content
How to get in
Amazon Content Partners is currently in gated preview. You can apply at contentpartners.amazon.com. General availability is coming later this summer.
It's free to apply. Worth checking if you're eligible now.
One honest note
This program launched yesterday. There are no independent creator reviews yet, no real-world data on how much traffic the AI attribution actually drives back to your site. Those answers will come with time.
What we do know is this — AI search is changing how your content gets found. Most platforms have ignored what that means for solo creators. Amazon is at least trying to address it. Whether the terms work in your favour is something only you can decide after reading them carefully.
But the early access window is open. And it's free.
